There are dreams I hold tightly in my hands and in my heart and wait to see if God births them. To see if they are holy passions or selfish ambitions. There are places in life I despair over and feel weak in. What courage it takes to hope and trust and wait...and obey.
God is kind. God is kind to hold me up. God is kind to hear me in my anger, in my sadness, in my foolishness, in my impatience, in my confusion, in my fears, in my hopes, in my big, big dreams.
The Lord your God is with you,
the Mighty Warrior who saves.
He will take great delight in you;
in his love he will no longer rebuke you,
but will rejoice over you with singing.
God is comfort. He is so comforting right now. I feel his comfort as rich as hug, as sweet as a song.
Jerusalem will be told:
Don’t be afraid.
Your God is present among you,
a strong Warrior there to save you.
Happy to have you back, he’ll calm you with his love
and delight you with his songs.
There is no greater comfort than here.
