Year of the Cheerleader & Go Give #1!

Earlier this year I saw lots of bloggers coming up with sweet new link-up parties, 31 days of {something amazing}, super thoughtful "One Word" goals, etc. And there I was still like a deer in the headlights, wondering why I hadn't also felt led to lead something amazing. In fact, I felt pretty lame, pretty invisible.

But then God spoke "faithful" over me, continuing in who He is to me. And then God led me to cheer lead. Something I tried out for 4 times as a teen {gosh, embarrassing} and I finally found my team now: writers.

I still hope and think there will be a time when it's my time to shine a message, sent from Him for many maybe. But that is not today. And I'm okay with that. I trust Him. Today is for cheering on others.

One gal He's been leading me to encourage is strong Jennifer from A Girl On the Doorstep. I think I found Jennifer from Five Minute Fridays and something that always stood out to me is the depth of her faith from sorrow. I just think she's walked miles with our Jesus and has joy and strength from the journey.

So when Jennifer started the Go Give Link Up, basically celebrating loving others & sharing one practical way each month to give {time, service, gifts}, I knew I was in! This month's challenge was sharing coffee.

And so for the girl who cannot get enough, I shared this humble offering of friendship and caffeine. The quote on the front card says, "Love is above all the gift of oneself". And isn't that Jesus. Unless I lay it all down, love is an empty gift. But where this is cost, where there is heart, that is where we truly give.
