Marvell, IL.

Today's Five Minute Friday phrase is: In Between.

Do you know how perfect the phrase "In Between" is for right now? I mean c'mon when I was checking the weather today I searched "Marvell, IL". Where I am and where I'm going. In between.

This place may not exist on Weather.com, but it's certainly where I am.

There's a sweet tension in beginning and ending. There's beauty in packed boxes piling up, but still being in a moment of staying. There's blessed moments of hard good-byes and hopeful beginnings.

And it's not easy. Nurturing relationships, but knowing they will change. Packing with a toddler, only to find books pulled out and toys thrown in. Finding an apt 650 miles from here, sight unseen. Searching through boxes to find that one thing you didn't think you'd need, but you do. It's stretching.

But it's grace-filled too. Speaking love to those who changed your life. Sharing memories that you'll take with you forever. Having new needs and seeing those be met. Realizing what's important.

So if I seemed a lil' confused and bittersweet about life these days, this is why. I'm in between.

Ugh! The thing that got packed that is suddenly needed. I hate that.

  2. Thanks for stopping by my FMF last night! Returning the favor! Good luck on your move. Knowing that your in between makes everything harder, and sweeter, doesn't it? These last memories will linger.

  4. Hi Rachael
Oh, I think we all have experienced that in-between-houses-living-out-of-boxes period of life. Not to worry; this has only come too pass!!
    Blessings with your move
