Here is good.

The Five Minute Friday theme is Here.

Here we do snuggling in our pj's at 10 a.m.
Here we let the cooking, cleaning, birthday planning wait...
Here we watch Dora and Barefoot Book sing-a-longs.
Here we use frozen peas in mesh feeders for teething comfort.
Here we let the mushy pea contents saturate our shirt.
Here we snuggle because she's in pain & this snuggling
is bringing her smiles, contentment, and rest.

I know of a woman who when asked what she does (as we are so often asked), she says gardening. She has a career yes, but would rather be defined broader, by living her life, by doing what she loves.

Next time someone asks me what I do, I might just say I'm the one who wears the peas here.

  1. Hi. I am from Five Minute Friday. I love your post! I have 4 year old twins, and believe me when I say, "I can identify!" I love the place where I am, and waited along time to arrive here again, so it is a blessing.
I bet you wear those peas fantastically!

  5. I love it Rachel! Exactly how I feel too. I hate when people ask me "are you just a mom?" As if there is a "just" about it. I think it's the best job I've ever had! Keep up the great mommy work:)
